Adk Creative Works
The Department is delighted to partner with ADK Creative Works to present the following children’s art series! Let’s inspire your child’s creativity with these fabulous art programs and local artists!

ADK Creative Works is a Co-Op where artisans and musicians share their creativity, whether it be teaching classes or marketing their handcrafted goods. ADK also accepts used music instruments to donate to schools for children in need to use.
 
So many art techniques to explore and enjoy! Your child will have pure, creative FUN and take home a one-of-a-kind masterpiece!  
 
All instruction provided by ADK Creative Works Educators.

All supplies and materials are included.

Holiday Ornament Making for Kids!
  • ‘Tis the season to create beautiful ornaments to help celebrate the holidays! Children will paint four plaster ceramic Christmas ornaments with Debbie Backus, formerly of Creative Chameleon, and create six stunning Christmas tree ornaments using alcohol ink and clear bulbs, with Miss Mary Beth.
  • The kids will have so much fun making gorgeous pieces that will be cherished keepsakes, to enjoy for holiday seasons to come!

Design a Gelli Print Journal
  • Design your own journal to document your ideas, drawings, travels, etc. by using Gelli Plate Printing and stamping using a new to the market method with acrylic paint and paper.
  • Location: ADK Creative Works, 1646 Route 9, South Glens Falls

Learn to Draw - Illustration Class!
  • In this class, you will learn the basic techniques of drawing.
  • Skidmore Fine Arts Graduate and St. Rose Illustration Teacher, Emily Cammisa, will provide step-by-step instruction to guide you in the art of drawing, as we create a wonderful winter scene!
  • Location: ADK Creative Works, 1646 Route 9, South Glens Falls

Learn to Paint!
  • Basic painting brush strokes are used in Decorative Painting and once you master the different brushes and strokes, you can paint anything!
  • Come paint a wooden Spring project and learn how to paint at the same time!
  • Location: Queensbury Activity Center, 742 Bay Road
