Monarch Butterfly
Let's Make a Difference!

The number of monarch butterflies has dropped by  more than 80% over the last decade.

Join biologist Beth Bidwell to learn how your family can help
support this iconic species.

Three programs will be offered this spring/summer.

The programs are scheduled to coincide with different parts of our local monarch’s lifecycle.

Program Information
  • Beth will discuss the threats facing the monarch, the butterfly’s amazing lifecycle, and easy steps you can take to help increase their chances of survival.
  • In addition, steps for attracting monarchs to your yard will be discussed and milkweed seeds will be distributed along with directions for planting.
  • Monarch butterflies lay their eggs on milkweed and the caterpillars eat only milkweed until they enter the chrysalis stage.
  • You will leave the program armed with a packet of seeds, planting directions, and the confidence that you can make a difference!
