Autumn Walk in Mountains
Join biologist, environmental educator, author, outdoor enthusiast, and Adirondack Guide, Beth Bidwell, and take a walk through some of the town’s spectacular nature preserves. Enjoy the landscape and nature that awaits you!

General Information
Feeling stressed, overwhelmed, tired, and disconnected? Nature may have just the remedy you need! Studies have shown that time spent in nature has many benefits including increased short-term memory, creativity, concentration, and reduced stress and inflammation. Research has also shown that practicing mindfulness lowers stress hormones in the body, improves cognitive function, increases mental focus, and lowers depression. Join biologist and naturalist Beth Bidwell for a leisurely stroll through some of the Town’s parks as we combine time in nature with mindfulness.
We will learn techniques for quieting the mind, being present in the moment, and reconnecting with nature. You do not have to work with a guru or sit in a yoga pose to reap the many benefits of mindfulness in nature. You will leave each walk with tips for including nature and mindfulness in your daily life. All ages are welcome, but participants must be able to sit, stand, and walk in silence.
