Build a Better World! Tang Museum Program

This program is currently unavailable. Click here to view all of our current programs.

A bunch of arts and crafts supplies.
The talented and delightful TANG educators will inspire and help us to build a better world-really! They will present incredible images to motivate the creative process. Each participant will create a 3-D sculptural collage using World Maps as our building material. We will have some poster board, tape, and glue for base and connecting, but the main art supplies will be a whole variety of old and new world maps, ready to cut and construct. We will look at images of artwork by Nick Cave, Nina Katchadourian, and Josh Dorman for inspiration. This hands-on art project will provide an opportunity for teaching, learning, and understanding issues raised by current exhibitions at the Tang, while offering children the chance to express themselves. We invite your child to join us to unleash the POWER of his or her CREATIVITY!

The Parks and Recreation Department is thrilled to partner with the Tang Teaching Museum to offer this superb program! For more information about the Tang’s exhibitions and programs, please see www.skidmore.edu/tang.
