Snowy Cabin

Please join biologist, environmental educator, author, outdoor enthusiast, and Adirondack Guide, Beth Bidwell, and take a walk through some of the town’s spectacular nature preserves.  Enjoy the landscape and nature that awaits you!  The walks will be featured in four of Queensbury’s preserves: Rush Pond Way Trail, Gurney Lane Recreation Area, Hudson Pointe Preserve, and Meadowbrook Preserve.

Whether you are new to the trails and
want to familiarize yourself with the trail systems or you want to explore and learn about the natural environment; then, this is the opportunity you’ve been looking for!



Explore these beautiful parks that are just steps away, in your own backyard, and witness the exhilarating and pristine winter landscapes and enjoy the crisp, fresh winter air!


General Information
Beth has acquired her Adirondack Guide’s License. As part of her new business, she plans to guide people with little outdoor experience into the forest on gentle walks. Walks will be offered to destinations such as ponds, waterfalls, low elevation overlooks, and historical sites (Saratoga Battlefield, Fort Ticonderoga, etc.).

REGISTRATION
  • Please register online (recreation.queensbury.net or queensburyrec.com) or call the Department Office at 761-8216, online or phone registration REQUIRED.
  • Class size is limited ... register today!

Additional Information
  • PLEASE KEEP DOGS AT HOME.
  • Please wear sturdy/warm boots and cold weather attire.
  • Drinking water recommended.
  • Program Note: trail terrain can be uneven and there are changes in slope in certain areas.
